It’s been almost two months since the World Environment Day Festival at Cotton Tree. How time flies! We had an awesome day, promoting our campaigns, networking with local environmental groups and meeting a bunch of great people!
After a short break, we’re back and ready to go again. We met some new faces at O’Week last week and we’re now planning for Semester 2. Do you want to get involved? To find out how, come to our weekly Members on the Grass catch ups, every Thursday at 10:30AM on the Brasserie lawn.
Take a look at what we’ve got on the agenda for Week 1 Members on the Grass:
- Scheduling our regular campus clean up events
- Recruiting volunteers for our community event ‘Environmental education to prevent marine plastic waste‘ in early October
- Planning activities to further our Fossil Free USC campaign
- Carpooling to the tree plant in Coolum this Sunday for National Tree Day
So come along and let us know which projects you’re most interested in, or if you have some different ideas then bring them too!
See you then 🙂
