Many members were concerned about wildlife kills around both the Sippy Downs and Fraser Coast campuses. So we worked closely with USC Eco members, staff and wildlife carers to develop fauna awareness flyers for residents and visitors to our neighbourhoods to educate people on how to rescue injured wildlife.
These simple flyers contain information about how to rescue injured wildlife, the types of animals most likely to be injured in our area, locations of rescue centres and key contacts.
We need volunteers to help deliver approximately 1,500 flyers around Sippy Downs. Please RSVP via email or Facebook if you are willing to co-deliver a portion of these to a section of the delivery area (see delivery area sections). We hope to have a team for each section. Deliveries start Wednesday 1 March, 2017, at 4PM with a volunteer induction at the Sippy Downs campus (meet between Cherry Blossom and the Brasserie).
